At Totembird we primarily develop either web based or mobile applications. Web based applications are simple and low cost to deploy as each application user only requires a web browser with internet (or LAN) connection to the server. This means that as updates are applied to the server, no action or change is necessary on any user PC. Access to a web application can be controlled by the application or by other authentication controls such as Microsoft Active Directory Services. If security is a concern then additional controls such HTTPS encryption can easliy be deployed.Web applications can readily be hosted with a hosting supplier from as little as £50/month. Not only is this extremely cost effective, set up times are quick with access to ancillary services for things such as backups or bulk emailing. Web applications can also be hosted on customers own servers, if required.
.Net Web Application Development
We can provide .Net applications developed using either VB or C#. We have developed solutions for Finance, Inventory management, Customer Relationship Management, Property Investment, Email Marketing campaigns and many more. Usually we have also completed all the business analysis and design prior to the development stage providing an end to end service. However, we are happy to undertake any or all of the Analysis, Design and Development stages of a project.Java Web Application Development
We also develop in Java where a more open solution is required or where application loading is expected to be high. Typicaly these solutions are hosted on Linux and dedicated servers. Our own application "Total Resort" is a java development. We have also developed applications for mobile devices using Java J2ME.Legacy Application Migration
